Early Childhood Focus Group-Parent Feedback Needed!
July 20 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pmFree
For our July 20th GEAR support group we will be holding a focus group to receive your feedback. We are collaborating with the ME CDC Maternal and Child Health Program to help them with gaining parents/caregiver feedback to help make positive changes to this system. Below you will find more information about this opportunity. If you are interested in registering for this wonderful opportunity for your voice to be heard please let us know by responding to this email or contacting me (contact info provided below).
As part of Maine’s Early Childhood Systems work, the office of Maternal and Child Health are conducting focus groups with parents across Maine. We want to hear from parents about their experiences with the prenatal to age 3 systems in Maine. We will use this input to strengthen services for families prenatally and through early childhood with the goal of increasing access and outcomes for children and families.
We understand and expect that every family’s experience is different we want to hear about the challenges and strengths during these experiences. We have put together some questions for you to think about ahead of time, but our conversation does not have to be limited to these if you have other things you wish to share. Feel free to come and share whatever you want us to know.
Interpreter or other services will be available in order to fully participate, please inform us of your needs during registration. Thank you for giving us this opportunity!
What services has your family accessed or tried to access?
What challenges or barriers did you face when accessing any particular service?
Were there services that you felt helped your family more than others? How did they help?
How has the Covid 19 pandemic impacted access to or experience with services?
